What is it?
F. Ball’s popular carpet tile tackifier is a solvent-free acrylic adhesive, which creates a permanently tacky film to prevent ‘loose-lay’ carpet tiles from moving laterally when subject to normal traffic, while allowing individual tiles to be easily removed and replaced if they become damaged or worn.
What’s new about it?
Recently reformulated Styccobond F41 is now easier to apply, as a result of reduced viscosity, and provides improved coverage capabilities, a faster drying time and increased tack.
It’s now available in 5L and 20L recyclable bottles as well as in a 15L rectangular bucket for ease of application, and all containers are re-sealable for future use.
Where is it used?
Styccobond F41 can be used for securing a wide range of dimensionally stable ‘flat lay’ carpet tiles backed with bitumen/felt, non-woven fabric, PVC and other polymer backings.
It can be applied over Stopgap levelling compounds, Stopgap waterproof surface membranes and a wide range of absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors, including structurally sound, smooth and dry concrete, sand/cement screed, plywood, raised access flooring panels and terrazzo.
It’s ideal for use where carpet tiles may become worn, damaged or stained – in offices with chairs on castors or busy walkways, for example. It is also approved for use in marine flooring installations and is suitable for use over normal under floor heating systems.

Styccobond F41 is certified EMICODE EC1 Plus – testament to its ultra-low VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) emissions. This makes it ideal for use in areas that need to remain in-use while floorcoverings are being installed.
