Product Focus: Stopgap 800 Wearcoat

In the latest in our series of product spotlights, we take a look at Stopgap 800 Wearcoat.

What is it?

Stopgap 800 Wearcoat is a self-levelling commercial and industrial grade floor compound for upgrading and renovating existing internal floors in light to heavy-duty applications where decorative floorcoverings are not required to be installed.

Where is it used?

Stopgap 800 is suitable for use in areas such as storerooms, workshops, corridors, and warehouses. It is suitable for application over a wide range of subfloor types including
sand/cement screed, concrete, granolithic, terrazzo, epoxy and polyurethane resins and Stopgap waterproof surface membranes.

What’s different about it?

It is dimensionally stable, has extremely high compressive strength and offers special class abrasion resistance.

It is supplied as pre-blended dried powder, and is designed for application thicknesses of 5-15mm.

Stopgap 800 can be pump applied, allowing for faster application, which is particular useful for larger areas, such as in warehouses.

Something you might not know about the product:

It is low-odour and protein-free, which enables it to be used in biologically sensitive areas.
