Product Focus: Stopgap 700 Superflex

We put F. Ball’s fibre-reinforced, flexible levelling compound in the spotlight for this month’s product focus.

What is it?

Stopgap 700 Superflex is a fast drying, self-levelling, fibre-reinforced levelling compound suitable for use over flexible subfloors prior to the installation of new floorcoverings.

Where is it used?

Over flexible subfloors, such as plywood or stainless steel, including raised access panels, which will movewhen subjected to normal foot traffic and temperature changes. These movements can cause other levelling compounds to crack, leading to visible cracks showing through the floorcovering or even eventual floor failure.

What’s different about it?

Stopgap 700 Superflex is reinforced with tiny fibres that maintain the integrity of the levelling compound and prevent cracks from forming as a result of subfloor movement. These act like steel rods in reinforced concrete, ensuring that the installation retains its strength despite the stress caused by foot traffic or temperature fluctuations.

Something you might not know about the product:

Stopgap 700 uses fast drying technology allowing resilient floorcoverings to be installed from as little as 3 hours after application.
