Product Focus: Styccobond F48 PLUS

For this month’s Product Focus, we take a closer look at F. Ball’s fibre-reinforced, high temperature grade vinyl adhesive.

What is it?

Styccobond F48 PLUS is a fibre-reinforced, temperature tolerant adhesive for installing a wide range of vinyl floorcoverings, in both sheet and tile form.

Where is it used?

The adhesive is suitable for use over a wide range of subfloor types, including structurally sound, smooth and dry concrete or sand/cement screeds, Stopgap levelling compounds, plywood and hardboard. It can also be used over normal underfloor heating systems.

Styccobond F48 PLUS is resistant to both heat and PVC plasticisers, enabling it to prevent any movement of floorcoverings caused by high temperatures, which can lead to tenting and gapping over time. It is therefore suitable for use in conservatories and other areas where floor to ceiling windows are installed, resulting in solar gain.

What’s different about it?

The adhesive is fibre-reinforced, providing high initial grab to help to prevent lateral movement of the floorcovering when it is placed into the adhesive, making it easier to work with.

Something you might not know about the product:

The adhesive is also fast drying, allowing floorcoverings to be installed in as little as five minutes after the adhesive has been applied.

F. Ball Loyalty Card members can claim 10% cashback on all purchases of Styccobond F48 PLUS made from July – September 2019.
