F. Ball appoints new technical service officer

F. Ball has further strengthened its technical service department with the appointment of Andy Mees as technical service officer.

Based at F. Ball’s Cheddleton site, Andy will provide expert advice to flooring professionals on best practice in subfloor preparation and floorcovering installation and how to get the most out of F. Ball products. He will also attend site visits withF. Ball’s regional technical representatives, assisting with the production of reports advising flooring contractors on the best course of action for specific flooring projects.

Andy brings over 25 years’ experience working for product manufacturers, nine years of which was spent at companies making products for the flooring industry. Throughout his career he has been responsible for a wide range of aspects of production, including product development, systems maintenance and quality control, as well as advising customers on end use.

Commenting on his appointment, Andy said: “I’m looking forward to applying my knowledge of the flooring industry and subfloor preparation products to assist flooring contractors, who face increasing pressure to work to exacting standards while working to ever-tighter timescales. I’m pleased to have the opportunity to work for a company with the reputation of F. Ball, whose products are known in the industry for their quality and reliability.”

In his spare time, Andy enjoys outdoor pursuits, including walking, cycling and kayaking, as well as motor sports, particularly stock car racing.

F. Ball’s technical service team is available to answer calls about products and flooring projects from 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. It also delivers free training courses for flooring contractors at the company’s purpose-built training centre at its Staffordshire Headquarters.
