F. Ball hosts training day for social media users

We were recently delighted to welcome a group of flooring contractors who regularly interact with us via the F. Ball social media channels.

The specially organised training day was held at F. Ball’s state-of-the-art training centre in Leek, Staffordshire where delegates took the opportunity to network with their peers in the flooring industry. Several of those attending were members of Facebook flooring forum ‘Talk Floor’, which has over 60 members. For them, it was a chance to meet in person for the first time.

The flooring professionals were given technical briefings on and demonstrations of F. Ball’s most recent and specialised products. These products included Styccobond F49 Hybrid PS (a temperature tolerant, pressure sensitive vinyl adhesive for use where floorcoverings are subject to extreme temperature fluctuations), Stopgap 1100 (a specialist smoothing underlayment for use over calcium sulphate screeds prior to the installation of floorcoverings) and F. Ball’s range of waterproof surface membranes. Following the briefings, delegates got a hands-on experience of using the products in our purpose-built demonstration facility.

David Merrilees, who owns a flooring company in Preston and was present on the day commented: “I thoroughly enjoyed the day at F. Ball’s head office. The training facility there is brilliant. It was great to learn about new F. Ball products and meet other flooring contractors, who I normally only ever ‘meet’ on social media. The staff at F. Ball were really accommodating and did everything they could to make us feel welcome throughout the day.”
