Products from F. Ball and Co. Ltd., leading manufacturer of subfloor preparation products, have been used in the refurbishment of a city centre commercial space in Plymouth. Contractors, Lang & Potter, used F. Ball’s new Styccobond F49 Hybrid PS, temperature tolerant, pressure sensitive vinyl adhesive, to install luxury vinyl floorcoverings throughout the 200m2 area.
The site featured floor-to-ceiling windows, making the new Styccobond F49 Hybrid PS adhesive the perfect option for the refurbishment of the flooring. Styccobond F49 Hybrid PS is a temperature tolerant, pressure sensitive vinyl adhesive that combines instant initial grab with ultra-high bond strength to hold vinyl tiles and sheet in place across a huge range of temperatures. It has been designed specifically for use in conditions subject to direct sunlight or extreme fluctuations in temperature, from as low as -20°C and up to +60°C.
The subfloor was firstly prepared with Stopgap 1200 Pro which is a high performance, two component smoothing underlayment that is suitable for use over a wide range of subfloor types and is also suitable for use directly over old adhesive residues, making it the perfect solution for this project.
