Styccobond F58 scores at Norwich City FC

Styccobond F58 rubber floorcovering adhesive from F. Ball and Co. Ltd., the UK’s leading manufacturer of flooring adhesives and subfloor preparation products, has been used in the refurbishment of the Barclays Stand at Norwich City Football Club.

Flooring contractors, Broadland Flooring, were contracted to refurbish the 1200 m² stand, which included a bar, toilets and turnstile area, after flooding damaged the original floor. Once the concrete floor had dried out, the contractors suitably prepared the subfloor and adhered rubber flooring tiles to create a finished floor, but then another flood damaged the newly installed tiles, necessitating Broadland Flooring’s return to the site.

For a second time, the contractors conducted moisture management tests and suitably prepared the subfloor, this time using Styccobond F58 to adhere Altro Nuvola Stratus Rubber flooring tiles. Styccobond F58 has a high bond strength and strong initial tack, and is suitable for use with a wide range of rubber floorcoverings.

Ben Couzens, Managing Director and owner of Broadland Flooring, said: “The difference between the results that we achieved using Styccobond F58 and the alternative adhesive that we used the first time was striking. Styccobond F58 was a lot quicker, easier to use and more effective. We use a lot of F. Ball products and this reminded me why we should continue to do so.”
