The conversion of an existing warehouse on the Langstone Business Park, Havant, into offices required the treating of subfloors in very poor condition with market leading floor preparation and flooring adhesive products from F. Ball.
The £4.5 million refurbishment project includes some 4,000m² of floor area comprising uneven concrete, stone and existing damaged raised access floors. The concrete and stone were shot blasted and ground by a floor planer to remove all surface latex and create a smoother, more level area. Flooring contractors then pumped a 6mm layer of Stopgap 300 HD self-smoothing underlayment onto the floor, having previously treated it with Stopgap P131 primer to promote adhesion and prevent rapid drying.
Completion of the refurbishment was achieved by the installation of carpet tiles with Styccobond F41 carpet tile tackifier for easy tile replacement in heavy traffic areas.
